Cleo's ideal home

Cleo is looking for a home that will be slow and gentle with her and conscious of her potential ongoing medical needs. She will need her new home to have a private garden, so she has a safe off-lead area where she can mooch, chill, and play. She would love to have a home where there is someone around most of the day, but it should be capable to build up some leaving hours slowly once she has settled in. Because of Cleo's size and sometimes timid nature, she would be better suited to living with secondary-aged school children.

We would love to rehome Cleo with her best friend Buddy, but we understand that it is a big ask to take on two dogs. Therefore, we will consider rehoming them separately to avoid them spending any longer in kennels than necessary.

Could you be Cleo's perfect match?

Cleo is a sweet and gentle 10-year-old German Shepherd cross Rottweiler. She is a bit of an old soul who enjoys taking life at her own slow pace. Cleo is easily pleased with a slow leisurely walk where she takes her time sniffing all around and enjoying the fresh air. She can be overwhelmed by new people or dogs if they are too excitable or animated however, she can be quickly won over by a slow and gentle approach (and some of her favourite snacks). When she gets to know you, she loves receiving fuss and cuddles and spending lots of time by your side. When it comes to other dogs, she can be a bit more nervous and wary, especially if they are too excitable or playful.

Rottweiler Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Rottweiler.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
